Goverrunner

This is one of the most ridiculous fluff pieces I've ever seen. Governor Tim Pawlenty, a fiscal fanatic? Give me a break.

Alcohol and Cocaine

I can't tell whether this is bullshit or not.

CommonCensus

This doesn't strictly relate to politics, but I'd be grateful if people would point their browsers here. CommonCensus results will be interesting on a variety of levels, and I'm sure dedicated people will be able to mine political information from them.

Grand Old Party

We all know that Republicans are the party of small government, right?

Yum Yum

New polling.

This says one thing: Amy Klobuchar for Senate. There's no doubt in my mind of that. She's the one who can beat Kennedy and do a good job for us.

Lourey Coming In

Wow. This will definitely shake things up.

Veteran Leadership

Tim Walz, as committed observers of MN politics will be aware, is running for Congress in the 1st (my district) and has been receiving statewide and national attention due to his status as a veteran. There's a nice article in the Star Tribune today about runs by veterans in general and Walz's campaign in particular.

Walz seems like a good guy and a solid candidate, and many of us in southern Minnesota have high hopes for his campaign. Gil Gutknecht, despite his attempts to appear moderate, is a rock-solid vote for the GOP, and after years of weak or badly funded DFL candidates, it's time to take him down. Many of us in the 1st believe that Walz is the guy to do it.

The only problem with Tim Walz? I sometimes get him confused with Wild center Wes Walz.
