RIP, William Rehnquist

Supreme Court Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist is dead at age 80.

How will this change the dynamics of the battle for the Supreme Court? We'll see; it surely will be interesting.

Sinking Ship

Why are politicians Democrats continuing to connect themselves to Pres. George W. Bush's sinking ship?

I'm anxiously waiting for the next set of poll numbers to come out. I'd be shocked if they haven't taken a substantial hit. President George W. Bush is well on his way to becoming the most unpopular person in the U.S.

Slow Going

Apologies for the lack of posting. Politically, little is going on in Minnesota and the news is dominated by Katrina, which the big blogs like Atrios and AmericaBlog are covering spectacularly. Also, with back-to-school just around the corner, time is in short supply for the next few days. Thanks.

Remember to donate, if you can.

Hurricane Katrina

Not much that this blogger can say about it. We now know, however, that while Pres. Bush could have spent more preventing this or could have helped more, he didn't. Now isn't the time to worry about that, though; now is the time to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. We'll make sure Bush answers for his incompetence later.

Please do donate.

Update: I can't resist making this point, only because it was so obvious that I felt like I'd been slapped. Take a look at this Power Line post about Katrina. Is it coincidence that the scenes he laments are broken yachts and African-Americans "looting"? After, of course, this thought-provoking tidbit from the MSM?
